Report: Potential broadcaster for WWE PLE on September 20

A new report provides additional insight into WWE’s planned event for September 20 to air against AEW All Out.

Mike Johnson of PWinsider.com reports that the yet-to-be-announced event scheduled for Indianapolis, Indiana, could air on ESPN.

Johnson states it could air on the cable outlet as a preview of the type of programming WWE will be introducing to ESPN next year when its domestic rights deal goes into effect, and expects an announcement this week.

Last week, Brandon Thurston and I reported that WWE was planning a show on September 20 in Indianapolis. Additional reporting from Dave Meltzer stated that the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar match could occur on that show, which airs on the same day as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view from Toronto.

ESPN declined to comment on the report when reached.
