WWE Premium Live Events (PLEs) are heading to ESPN much earlier than expected.
While it was previously announced that WWE would begin a multi-year deal to exclusively broadcast PLEs with ESPN beginning in 2026, the Disney-owned sports network announced Wednesday that the agreement will actually begin next month with a new addition to the promotion’s schedule.
The first WWE PLE to be streamed on ESPN platforms will be a new event titled “Wrestlepalooza,” as confirmed this week. The event will take place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 20.
The event will stream on ESPN’s direct-to-consumer streaming service, which is scheduled to launch Thursday with a price tag of $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year.
Upon the ESPN deal’s initial unveiling, it was expected that WWE would continue to host PLEs on NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform for the remainder of 2025 and begin their 2026 calendar on the platform as well. However, it now seems as though the company’s deal for the events will wrap up with Clash In Paris on August 31.
A report from F4WOnline this week said that while WWE was expected to stay with Peacock, additional events added to their 2025 calendar, like a second night of Summerslam, Evolution, and Clash In Paris, allowed them to finish their committed quota of broadcasts ahead of schedule.
ESPN noted in their news release that they will also broadcast Crown Jewel and Survivor Series later this year.
Promoted for Wrestlepalooza thus far are John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre. No matches have been confirmed.
The event is in partnership with the Indiana Sports Corp, which reached a multi-year deal with WWE in 2024.
Wrestlepalooza marks WWE’s second trip to Indianapolis this year. The promotion previously visited the Lucas Oil Stadium in February for the 2026 Royal Rumble.
