Just two days ahead of her match against AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm, Athena was in the mood to fight at RevPro: Global Wars UK.

Athena made a surprise appearance at Friday’s show in London, England, accepting an open challenge from the Cut Throat Collective’s Mercedez Blaze.

Blaze came to the ring unannounced on Friday’s show at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, stating that she was ready to fight anyone. Answering her challenge was Athena, who has held the ROH Women’s World Championship for nearly 1,000 days.

It took just a few minutes before Athena was able to find a win, locking in a Koji Clutch for a tap.

Athena cut a promo after the win, addressing her match on Sunday against Storm at AEW Forbidden Door, as well as her upcoming ROH Death Before Dishonor match against Mina Shirakawa.

Attempting to send a message to Shirakawa, Athena and Billie Starkz continued to beat up Blaze long after the bout had ended. This assault was stopped by Shirakawa herself, who ran to the ring with a kendo stick, causing the heel duo to retreat as the segment came to an end.

Earlier on the card, Mercedes Moné added another title to her collection, beating Emersyn Jayne to capture the Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship.
