NXT announced a series of upcoming events over the next month.
During the Heatwave broadcast, the following events were announced:
- Tuesday, Sept. 16: Homecoming at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL
- Saturday, Sept. 27: No Mercy at War Memorial Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale, FL
- Saturday, Oct. 25: Halloween Havoc at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, AZ
Before the pandemic, Full Sail University was the home of NXT’s weekly programming before shifting to the WWE Performance Center for its weekly television program.
The No Mercy event was first reported by POST Wrestling last week and is the third NXT iteration of the show, which was first used by the WWE in 1999.
No Mercy will feature Lola Vice challenging Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship after Vice won the #1 contender’s match at Heatwave against Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan.
It will also see Sol Ruca defend the Women’s Speed title against the winner of a tournament involving talent from Raw, SmackDown, TNA, and AAA.
Halloween Havoc was adopted by NXT in 2020 and has been an annual event. It was first conceived in 1989 and ran through 2000 as a WCW event.
