A pair of massive changes has been confirmed for AEW’s next pay-per-view presentation.
AEW All Out on September 20 will no longer kick off during prime time hours, instead going live at 3 p.m. ET, as confirmed in a recent press release.
The earlier start time will allow AEW to avoid a head-to-head broadcast with WWE’s Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event (PLE), an event which will kick off the promotion’s new multi-year deal with ESPN.
All Out was previously promoted for a local start time of 8 p.m. ET.
Along with the time change, it was confirmed that the upcoming AEW event will be available for purchase to U.S. customers on HBO Max for the first time. Subscribers to the service will be able to watch the event for $39.99, viewing the PPV event on the same service which offers live simulcasts of Dynamite and Collision each week.
A social media post from AEW’s Tony Khan noted that HBO Max will be offering an “exclusive low price point” for events. Forbidden Door, AEW’s most recent PPV, was $49.99.
AEW also offers PPV broadcasts on services like Amazon Prime Video, PPV.com, Youtube, and other distributors.
A one-hour pre-show titled “AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl” will air at 2 p.m. ET on both TNT and HBO Max. The TV special was listed on TNT’s schedule within the past week, although it was previously expected to air later in the evening.
Pre-orders for the event will become available on HBO Max this Friday.
