AEW Dynamite became the third wrestling program over the last week to post its lowest viewership ever.
The September 3 edition of Dynamite fell to 472,000 viewers and 148,000 viewers (0.11) in the 18-49 demographic on TBS and doesn’t include streaming data on HBO Max.
The nineteen percent drop in viewership makes it the lowest Dynamite audience in the show’s history for a non-preempted episode. This follows the same all-time lows from Friday Night SmackDown and AEW Collision this past weekend.
Dynamite dropped by sixteen percent among males in the 18-49 category, averaging 92,000 viewers in that category. It’s a very low figure for men in that demo, which averaged 133,000 viewers throughout August.
Last week’s 18-49 audience tied the lowest in Dynamite’s history, and this week’s set a new record low.
Females in the key demo averaged 56,000 viewers and was a decline of seven percent from last week’s program and its lowest mark since July 16.
The older audience held up better with adults 35-49 averaging 111,000 viewers and only down by four percent from last week. Males in the category dropped by nine percent while women increased by the same percentage.
Programming Insider has not posted the chart of other programs yet, but Dave Meltzer reports that Dynamite ranked fourth on cable behind coverage of the U.S. Open Tennis tournament, Fox News, and MTV’s The Challenge.
