AEW has posted the ceremony honoring Taz at the 2300 Arena on Wednesday.

The segment occurred before the live edition of Dynamite and was posted to AEW’s YouTube channel.

The decision to have the ceremony not air on television was apparently a call made by Taz when asked by a fan on X about it airing on television:

Nah…as per my request no need to have it on tv. We have lots of current in ring wrestlers that should get the tv time…this isn’t about me, it’s 2025…I been retired for years. I do not want or need anyones tv time. Not how I’m wired.

The former ‘ECW Arena’ began housing the promotion in 1993 and introduced the Hardcore Hall of Fame in 2002.

Taz joins other inductees, including Terry Funk, The Sandman, Eddie Gilbert, Chris Candido, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, Shane Douglas, Rob Van Dam, Team 3D, and Eddy Guerrero, among the twenty-seven members in its Hall of Fame.

A banner was added inside the arena and shown on camera during Dynamite on TBS.
