The live edition of Impact began with a moment of silence for the victims of the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, where the show is airing from.
Carlos Silva and Tommy Dreamer were on the stage with all the current champions as Tom Hannifan read a message and noted that all proceeds from a specially designed t-shirt will go to the school.
Tonight at the Minneapolis Armory, TNA Wrestling stands with Minnesota.
A special Minneapolis tee has been released—100% of proceeds will go to Annunciation Catholic School.

*#1 Contender’s Match: Indi Hartwell over Jody Threat and Dani Luna
*The Hardys & Mara Sadé over The Great Hands & Tasha Steelz
TNA World Championship match at BFG
Santino Marella started the show and may face some legal issues after using the Cobra on Trick Williams last week. Marella confirms that Williams will defend the TNA World Championship against Mike Santana at Bound for Glory on October 12 in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Mike Santana enters through the crowd and states he will bring the championship home for his daughter, his family, the fans, and TNA. Santana says if Williams won’t show up until Bound for Glory, then he’ll go to Williams’ “home turf,” and the time is ticking, indicating that NXT will be utilized to promote the championship match.
Gia Miller interviewed The Hardys and Mara Sadé to preview their match with Order 4 tonight. Matt Hardy asked if Agent Zero is called that because he has “zero manhood” and will he tried to DECAPITATE Sadé last week.
Moose finds Santana backstage and wishes him good luck at BFG, and knows he’ll bring the belt back to TNA. AJ Francis is on the phone with Williams, and Moose calls him, “Trick’s little bitch”. Moose challenges Francis for next week.
Ryan Nemeth enters the ring to a chorus of boos and states his “big brother” returns tonight. Instead, Matt Cardona walks out and tells Ryan to leave, and no one cares about Ryan or Nic. Ryan accuses Cardona of having “brother envy” and being jealous because he doesn’t have one. Cardona struck Nemeth with the microphone.
Matt Cardona vs. Frankie Kazarian
Nemeth grabbed Cardona’s legs from the floor and allowed Kazarian to gain the advantage, going to commercial.
Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt mentioned the venue being run by the AWA decades ago, and noted the anniversary of the first episode of Monday Nitro on this date in 1995 in Minneapolis.
Nemeth distracts Cardona and leading to a slingshot cutter by Kazarian for a two-count. Cardona tried for the Unprettier, but it was avoided. Nemeth returned on the apron and was tossed into the ring and hit by Radio Silence, but this caused Cardona to be hit by Kazarian’s Fade to Black.
WINNER: Frankie Kazarian
Gia Miller interviews Kazarian and asks if he knew he would need help to win. Kazarian says that Miller “sucks” at her job and interviews himself and is eyeing the International title, held by Steve Maclin, and should be held by someone with dignity and class, unlike “some old jarhead” living off old war stories.
Maclin rushes down to the ring and dares Kazarian to enter the ring, but is rejected.
The IInspiration reacts to their win over Fatal Influence last week and will be watching tonight’s championship celebration with The Elegance Brand with their eyes on the Knockouts tag titles.
Championship Celebration
The Elegance Brand is in the ring with The Concierge, introducing Ash.
A painting was commissioned for Ash along with custom champagne, “Elegance in a Bottle,” and she is referred to as their “savior”.
Ash gloated about bringing the Knockouts title back to Heatwave and what others like Masha Slamovich could not do. Slamovich walked out and called Ash “a coward” and stated that she would receive a championship rematch at Victory Road on September 26 in Edmonton and would prove Ash’s win was a fluke. Slamovich attacked Heather and M before Ash tossed champagne into Slamovich’s eyes.
Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside ran out to assist Slamovich, followed by The IInspiration, and sent The Elegance Brand fleeing the ring. The group took Ash’s painting, and Masha punched it in half.

A video with Mustafa Ali aired, speaking from a podium, and their battle with The System. Ali threatens to “break their necks” and fill arenas with the sounds of their screams. Ali will not show mercy, and you either stand with Order 4 or fall with The System because TNA is his.
Dani Luna vs. Jody Threat vs. Indi Hartwell in a #1 Contender’s Match
The winner will receive a Knockouts Championship match at Bound for Glory.
Luna shoved Hartwell off the turnbuckle and sent her to the floor. Luna sent Threat out of the ring with a clothesline when Hartwell went on offense with Luna, including an elbow off the top.
Threat used a Michinoku Driver on Luna, but the cover was broken up by Hartwell. Threat hit Luna with a cannonball off the apron to the floor.
Threat and Hartwell were trading pin attempts back-and-forth, ending with a sunset roll-up with Hartwell crossing her arms to catch Threat and win.
WINNER: Indi Hartwell

Luna attacked both after the pin and was the one standing at the end. The match was short and average. It places Hartwell into the pay-per-view role and, hopefully, is a make-good for the match with Tessa Blanchard.
Luna seems like the one with the more engaging character and pathway in the Knockout division.
The Cleanse Starts Next Week
Joe Hendry entered the ring after being knocked out cold by Eric Young last week (and waking up at the Performance Center on Tuesday). He mentioned appearing on the WWE’s European tour and his cameo during Tuesday’s main event on NXT. He thanked the fans for coming tonight before calling out Eric Young.
Young appears with the Northern Armory and calls Hendry “the problem,” and he is going to fix it, and that “The Cleanse” will start with Hendry. Young turns down the challenge for a match tonight but will do it on his terms next week, and Hendry agrees.
Santino Marella informed Leon Slater that Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel are cleared and will have a big announcement for Slater.
Trick Williams posted a video to X and was watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, but people are blowing up his phone after the BFG announcement. He insulted the Minnesota Vikings and said he isn’t showing up anytime soon.
The Hardys & Mara Sadé vs. The Great Hands & Tasha Steelz
The Hardys easily received the strongest reception of anyone on the show, and it continued throughout the match.
Agent Zero was ejected after getting involved as the match resumed with Jason Hotch landing a suicide dive on Matt Hardy.
After the break, The Hardys hit John Skyler with Poetry in Motion and a splash by Jeff for a two-count. Jeff hit Whisper in the Wind to Skyler & Hotch.
Sadé struck Steelz with “Finish Her”, which is a double underhook, sending the opponent in the air and landing on her knees.
Matt hit Skyler with the Twist of Fate as Sadé followed with a Lita-inspired moonsault to Skyler. It ended with Jeff hitting the Swanton and pinning Skyler.
WINNER: The Hardys & Mara Sadé
The three were celebrating in the ring with Nic & Ryan Nemeth attacked The Hardys from behind, and Nic followed with a superkick to Sadé.
Nick & Ryan Nemeth held up the TNA tag titles. There were a couple of minutes they had to fill by utilizing Hannifan and Rehwoldt to kill time before the live broadcast concluded.

NEXT WEEK:
-Moose vs. AJ Francis
-Joe Hendry vs. Eric Young
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The show had a bit more momentum with the live aspect and started the real lead-up to Bound for Glory while also having Victory Road in a few weeks.
The Hardys continue to feel like the most popular act in the company, and the closing angle suggests a title match with The Nemeths at Victory Road before facing Team 3-D at BFG.
There were only three matches on the show, and while nothing was exceptional, the main event was the best of the three, with Skyler & Hotch playing the role of ping pong balls for the Hardys and adding to the match. They worked very hard to integrate Sadé into the mix and did a rare male-on-female spot with Nic hitting her with the superkick.
The women’s three-way was too short to be anything special, but I do like what they’re doing with Dani Luna, and in a heel role, I feel she is going to ascend the ladder in the division. Hartwell had a really poor match with Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary, and she’s going to be a heavily focused title program for Bound for Glory. Thus far, Hartwell has not stood out as a particularly strong addition to TNA.
Mike Santana and Trick Williams each received promo time on the show and are two of the top talkers in TNA. I’m really high on this program, and the BFG hype and success will determine if it was a worthwhile move to hold off on Santana’s win and keep the title on Williams at Slammiversary.
The next three episodes will be from Minneapolis on Sept. 11, 18, and 25 before they head to Edmonton for Victory Road and the final tapings before BFG.
