Bryan Danielson will join the AEW Dynamite commentary team on a full-time basis beginning Wednesday, September 10.

AEW President Tony Khan made the announcement on Saturday afternoon via a post on social media.

The move to the commentary booth follows several well-received guest appearances by Danielson over the past year. Most recently, he was part of the broadcast team for the main card of the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Danielson also provided analysis for several matches during the Continental Classic tournament in late 2024.

The 44-year-old stepped away from full-time in-ring competition in October 2024. He had previously announced in late 2023 that he would wind down his full-time schedule to spend more time with his family.

The current Dynamite commentary team consists of Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz. It is not yet known whether Danielson will replace a member of that crew or join a four-man booth.
