A first-time singles match between a current and former IWGP champion is set to take place in November.
Dradition has revealed that the main event of its Dragon Expo 1995 will feature Zack Sabre Jr. taking on Tatsumi Fujinami.
Fujinami is 71 years old and founded Dradition (previously Pro Wrestling Muga) almost twenty years ago, and remains an active wrestler.
The two have shared the ring in the past on opposite sides of a tag match in Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2014. They last met at New Japan’s 50th anniversary card in March 2022, with Fujinami teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada, defeating ZSJ, Minoru Suzuki, and Yoshiaki Fujiwara.
Fujinami is a six-time IWGP heavyweight champion and last held the belt in 1998. ZSJ is the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion with a title defense later this month against Ren Narita, and the winner will face Konosuke Takeshita on October 13 at King of Pro Wrestling.
The Dragon Expo 1995 event will take place at Korakuen Hall.
