The date for next year’s Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia was confirmed on Friday.

During WWE’s press conference to announce that the country will host WrestleMania 43, the company announced that next year’s Royal Rumble is scheduled for Saturday, January 31.

Riyadh will host the event and comes after WWE announced a multi-city “Road to Royal Rumble” tour throughout Europe from January 8 -19, including international editions of Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night Raw.

Saudi Arabia previously hosted The Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018, which was the first event as part of WWE’s ten-year agreement with the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia.

The Royal Rumble was tested as a house show concept in October 1987 and first aired as a live special on the USA Network the next year. In 1989, it was added as an annual pay-per-view for WWE.
