Brock Lesnar defeated John Cena in a one-sided match to open the WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event in Indianapolis on Saturday night.

Lesnar secured the victory after an overwhelming offensive display that saw him hit Cena with six F5s.

Cena’s only significant offense came late in the match when he hit a series of shoulder tackles followed by three consecutive Attitude Adjustments. Lesnar kicked out of the pinfall attempt at a two-count.

The match began with Lesnar immediately attacking Cena at the opening bell. The former UFC champion was given a surprise introduction by his long-time advocate, Paul Heyman, who appeared before the match began.

After the bell, Lesnar continued his assault, delivering an F5 to the referee and a seventh to Cena. Lesnar then removed his gloves and departed, while Cena received “Thank You, Cena” chants from the crowd as he made his way to the back.

The contest was the first singles match between Lesnar and Cena since 2014.
