The first match for next month’s WWE Crown Jewel has been set, pitting Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

The contest was confirmed during the Wrestlepalooza post show.

A confrontation began when Rollins interrupted Rhodes’ interview. After the two champions engaged in a brief staredown, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque appeared later in the show to make the match official.

Rhodes and Rollins will compete to determine the men’s Crown Jewel Champion. WWE introduced the concept at the 2024 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Rhodes became the inaugural men’s champion by defeating Gunther, while Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax to become the first women’s Crown Jewel Champion.

The pair were presented with enormous bejeweled title belts, which it was noted at the time would stay at the WWE Experience, a permanent exhibition in Riyadh.

Additionally, during the main Wrestlepalooza broadcast, Michael Cole stated that, if Tiffany Stratton wins her WWE Women’s Championship challenge on next week’s episode of SmackDown, she will face new Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel.

WWE Crown Jewel will take place in Perth, Australia, on October 11, 2025.
