NXT’s Charlie Dempsey and Harlem Lewis are to travel to Japan to compete for Pro Wrestling NOAH.

The company announced they are scheduled for a September 23rd event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. The event will feature the final of the 2025 N-1 Victory tournament.

The move was foreshadowed on WWE programming. During the recent NXT Homecoming special, Dempsey informed his No Quarter Catch Crew stablemate Wren Sinclair that he would be “going away for a month” to Japan.

This trip will mark Dempsey’s first appearance for Pro Wrestling NOAH. However, he has competed in Japan before, wrestling for All Japan Pro Wrestling in January 2024, a tour that included an unsuccessful challenge for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship.

Dempsey will be joined by fellow NXT talent Harlem Lewis. A relative newcomer in his first year as a professional, Lewis has yet to make his debut on the main NXT television show.

He has been featured on the WWE LFG reality series and has competed on NXT Level Up and at EVOLVE shows. Under his real name, Vincent Whiney, he also appeared on Monday Night Raw in 2024 in a loss to Odyssey Jones.

The talent exchange is part of an ongoing relationship between WWE and the Japanese promotion. In recent years, WWE talent such as Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Omos, and Josh Briggs have appeared on NOAH events. In the other direction, NOAH’s Yoshiki Inamura had an extended run in NXT.
