Masha Slamovich, a TNA talent and indie vet who earlier this week was accused of being abusive in a past relationship, has issued an apology for her part in what she considered a “toxic and mutually destructive relationship.”
A user on social media platform X alleged earlier this week that Slamovich was both physically and mentally abusive during her multi-year relationship with fellow wrestler AKIRA.
The account linked a Dropbox file, which included over 100 images, including text screenshots alleged to be between Slamovich and AKIRA, conversations between AKIRA and a friend, and images of scratches on AKIRA’s head and body.
One alleged exchange showed Slamovich admitting to hitting AKIRA: “You cursed at me that’s why u got hit,” a screenshot from a text conversation reads.
Slamovich released her first public comment on Wednesday night, a little over a day after the allegations first surfaced:
— Masha Slamovich マーシャ・スラモビッチ (@mashaslamovich) September 25, 2025
Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.
I take responsbility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out.
In the time since, I have sought help to reflect on this time and deal with the conflict in more mature, healthier, and sustainable ways.
I apologize to those that I let down, including my former partner. I hope he is able to heal.
This will be my only statement on the matter.
Slamovich has been pulled from upcoming bookings with Prestige Wrestling, West Coast Pro, and Metroplex Wrestling this week.
GCW seemingly became the latest to remove her from a show on Wednesday night. While Slamovich was previously announced to face Zachary Wentz at the promotion’s October 4 show in Anchorage, Alaska, they said Wednesday that Wentz is now expected to face Matt Tremont.
TNA Wrestling, which currently has Slamovich under a deal, told Sports Illustrated on Tuesday night that it had opened an “internal investigation” into the allegations made against Slamovich.
Slamovich is booked to appear at TNA’s Victory Road card on Friday night, challenging Ash By Elegance for the Knockouts World Championship.
