IYO SKY is heading back to Marigold.

The WWE star announced on Thursday night that she’ll make a second-ever appearance in the Joshi promotion next month, taking on Mayu Iwatani for the first time since 2018. The bout will go down as part of Marigold’s Grand Destiny 2025 card on October 26 at Ryogoku Kokugian in Tokyo, Japan.

“Marigold fans, long time, no see. It’s WWE Superstar IYO SKY. So why am I here? There’s one reason. Mayu Iwatani! Over the past few years, when you and I didn’t meet, we’ve each walked such wonderful paths. Let’s speak to our hearts’ content and tell our story inside of the ring. October 26 at Marigold’s Ryogoku Kokugikan show, Mayu Iwatani vs. IYO SKY is official! Hey Mayu, let’s shock the world with an amazing match we’ll have. See you soon!”

SKY and Iwatani have a history dating back to their time in STARDOM. They faced off seven times in singles bouts from 2013 to 2018, including a 27-minute match for the World of STARDOM Championship in 2017.

Both wrestlers are now in different places. SKY is a star on WWE’s Monday Night Raw program, and Iwatani has wrestled as part of Marigold since May.

The upcoming matchup will be SKY’s second time making an appearance in Marigold. She notably worked a card last year, her first non-WWE appearance in years, going 23 minutes against Utami Hayashishita as part of another Ryogoku event.
