Hirooki Goto will make his return from injury at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s King of Pro Wrestling event on Monday, October 13.

He confirmed the news during a press conference on Saturday held ahead of the Destruction in Kobe show.

Goto has not competed since June 29, when he lost the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Zack Sabre Jr. NJPW subsequently announced that an elbow injury forced his withdrawal from this summer’s G1 Climax tournament.

His return match will take place at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. NJPW has not yet announced an opponent for Goto.

While sidelined, it was announced that Goto had been cast as E. Honda in the upcoming live-action ‘Street Fighter’ movie. He joins a cast that also includes WWE performers Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

At Saturday’s press conference, Goto stated, “The Revolution is not over!”
