Carlos Silva on TV Talks: “We have an interested partner and working through potentially a deal for 2026”

TNA president Carlos Silva is optimistic about the promotion inching closer to a new distribution deal in the U.S.

Silva spoke with TV Insider in advance of next week’s NXT vs. TNA ‘Showdown’ event and Bound for Glory, with an update on the progression of its negotiations:

We’re now in active negotiations with a partner, and we’re going to work through that. I can’t really put a timeline on how long that will take. The good news is the process has started. We’re no longer just talking to a bunch of people to sort of gauge interest. Now we have an interested partner and working through potentially a deal for 2026. It’s going to happen as soon as it can happen. We were working on it as recently as yesterday, exchanging papers and trying to figure it out. We’re excited about it and keep pushing it forward to get this over the finish line. It’s done when it’s over the finish line.

TNA has been airing on AXS TV since 2019, when its parent company, Anthem Sports & Entertainment, purchased a majority stake in the U.S. broadcaster.

The brand has received additional exposure since entering a working agreement with NXT, with its talent frequently appearing on CW and the promotion’s premium live events.

Silva addressed the need for more live editions of its flagship show in the new year, but cannot move to a weekly live format:

In a perfect world, I’d love to be live every week. But there are different operational implications and budgets to being live every week including a place to do some of them because you’re probably not going to be traveling 52 weeks a year. The short answer is we’re going to continue to do more live in 2026 and lay out that schedule right now.

After Bound for Glory, the promotion will run two more TNA+ specials in 2025 and hold tapings at Full Sail University in Orlando and three nights in El Paso, Texas to end the year.
