The IWGP Women’s Championship will soon head over to ROH for the first time ever.

Sareee, the 29-year-old Joshi star who has held the IWGP Women’s Championship for over 100 days, will defend her belt against AEW’s Alex Windsor on next week’s episode of ROH on HonorClub.

Sareee made her ROH debut on Thursday’s episode, teaming with Windsor to take down Billie Starkz and Diamante. Windsor called out Sareee in a backstage promo immediately following the match, making it clear that she wanted a shot at her title:

“Sareee, firstly, I just want to say how much of a privilege it was tagging with you on Ring of Honor. But let’s not forget that you are also the current IWGP Women’s Champion. Not to toot my own horn, but, I recently challenged for that championship against Syuri, and, although I did not win, to say I challenged for such a prestigious championship is definitely something to be mentioned. When that match was announced in STARDOM, all you had to say about me is: ‘Who is she?’ So, what better way to answer that question than to challenge you for your IWGP Championship. And just in case you didn’t know, my name is Alex Windsor!”

A match between Sareee and Windsor for the title next week was confirmed by Ian Riccaboni on the ROH broadcast immediately following the promo. The upcoming title bout was taped at last night’s AEW event in Lakeland, Florida.

Sareee has held the IWGP belt since June, when she dethroned Syuri in a 32-minute battle at STARDOM: The Conversion 2025. She has since gone long against Konami and Suzu Suzuki to defend the title two more times in recent months.

The upcoming matchup will be the first time Sareee defends her belt outside of STARDOM.
