Mercedes Moné to challenge Jody Threat for Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Title

Mercedes Moné will challenge Jody Threat for the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship on Sunday, October 19th. 

The match is scheduled for the promotion’s “Rumble in the Bert” event at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Winnipeg Pro Wrestling announced the match on social media on Saturday. The promotion noted that Moné would be attempting to win her tenth concurrent championship.

Moné currently holds nine titles from promotions around the world, including the AEW TBS Championship and the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship.

The match in Canada adds to a busy schedule for Moné. Two days prior, on October 17th, Moné is scheduled to defend her CMLL Women’s World Championship against Persephone at Arena Mexico. 

Also advertised for the WPW show are Danhausen, Shotzi Blackheart, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows.
