Steven Borden Jr, son of wrestling legend Sting, competed in his first official match on Friday.
The match took place at 52W Hardway, an event in New York City combining art, music, and wrestling. Borden teamed with JD Drake in a losing effort against Darby Allin and Killer Kross.
The event, curated by artist Raymond Pettibon, Charlie Ramone, and Allin, is part of a two-week art gallery exhibit, with wrestling cards scheduled for October 3rd and 10th.
This marked Borden’s first time competing in a full contest, though he previously became physically involved during his father’s retirement match at AEW Revolution in March 2024.
On that night, he portrayed the “Wolfpac Sting” persona and delivered a Stinger Splash to The Young Bucks. For his match on Friday, Borden wrestled in plain black pants and without face paint.

Following his father’s retirement, it was revealed that Borden had begun training for a career in wrestling. He has spent the past year training with Allin, his father’s former tag team partner.

Prior to pursuing wrestling, Borden was a tight end for the University of Kentucky and was briefly signed to the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs in 2015. He had previously expressed reluctance to enter wrestling, viewing it as his father’s domain, but his perspective shifted as Sting’s career came to a close.
