AEW President Tony Khan has stated that Bandido intends to compete in his scheduled match this Tuesday, despite suffering a shoulder injury on Friday night.
Khan provided the update on social media Saturday, October 4th, in response to a post from Bandido’s tag team partner, Brody King. King had written that his friend would have to “tape up his shoulder and get back to work because they have things to do”.
Khan replied that he had spoken with Bandido earlier in the day, who confirmed he wanted to compete on the October 7th show.
I talked to him this morning! He said that he wants to power through it + wrestle on Tuesday!

Bandido said he injured his shoulder during a successful ROH World Championship defense against Hechicero at a CMLL event in Arena Mexico on Friday. He posted on Instagram that his shoulder had “popped out and then went back into place” during the contest.
The match will see the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brodido (Bandido & Brody King), face Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada of the Don Callis Family. AEW has also announced a Double Jeopardy stipulation for the contest.
Under the stipulation, if either Bandido or King scores the pinfall, that person will get a future match for Okada’s AEW Unified Title. However, a victory for Takeshita and Okada will grant them a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
The match is scheduled for the AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday special.
