WWE Crown Jewel results: Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY take down Kabuki Warriors

IYO SKY and Australia’s own Rhea Ripley picked up the win during Saturday’s Crown Jewel co-main event.

Teaming up to face off against SKY’s former “family,” Asuka and Kairi Sane of the Kabuki warriors, the babyface duo went nearly 20 minutes to earn a pinfall win at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

Both Asuka and Sky were able to get in the ring at points to prevent possible match-ending moves from being hit, extending the bout as long as it went. However, eventually they found themselves in a sequence that put things to an end.

In a testament to her loyalty, Sane protected Asuka during the bout’s final minute and took the pinfall loss for her team during the finishing sequence.

Sane prevented a top rope move to Asuka from Ripley, tagging into the match in the process. Sane moved Asuka away from a big boot by Ripley on the ring apron moments later, taking the shot to the head instead. But, since Sane was the legal wrestler between the two, consuming this blow led to the bout’s end.

Ripley dragged Sane back into the ring to score a Riptide, then SKY came off the top with an Over The Moonsault for the pinfall victory.

SKY found herself caught between two parties in recent weeks on Raw: She saw Ripley as a friend and thought the Warriors were her family. However, Asuka wanted SKY to cut all contact with the Australian former world champ, causing issues.

The problems culminated in recent weeks, splitting SKY from her two long-term allies and booking the match for this weekend in Perth. SKY now has some momentum back after earning her first PLE victory since Wrestlemania 41.
