Persephone wins 2025 CMLL Women’s International Grand Prix

Persephone won the 2025 CMLL Women’s International Grand Prix on Friday at Arena Mexico. 

She secured the final victory for Team Mexico over Team International in an 18-woman torneo cibernetico. 

The elimination match came down to Persephone as the sole survivor for Team CMLL against AEW’s Thekla for Team International. 

Persephone pinned Thekla after a moonsault to win the tournament. The match lasted nearly 57 minutes. 

Team Mexico’s lineup included Persephone, La Catalina, Olympia, Skadi, Reyna Isis, Zeuxis, India Sioux, Lluvia, and La Jarochita. 

Team International featured representatives from several promotions:

CMLL began holding the Women’s International Grand Prix in 2021. The inaugural tournament was won by Dark Silueta. Dalys succeeded her in 2022. Tessa Blanchard then won the event in 2023, followed by Reyna Isis in 2024.
