The first match has been revealed for TNA’s Turning Point event on Friday evening.
In his first appearance since capturing the TNA World Championship, Mike Santana will team with Steve Maclin to face Nic Nemeth and Frankie Kazarian this weekend, the promotion revealed Wednesday.
The matchup will be part of a card streaming live on TNA+ from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
After both winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory last month, Nemeth and/or Kazarian have a chance to challenge Santana for his TNA World Championship at any time or any place in the future. But before that title opportunity is cashed in, they’ll try to set their differences aside in tag action this weekend.
Santana’s last appearance in a TNA ring saw him achieve his long-term goal of capturing the TNA World Championship, dethroning Trick Williams in the main event of Bound for Glory. Lower on the card, Maclin regained his TNA International Championship by winning a rematch against Kazarian. The champions will team up as part of the upcoming event in Orlando.
The rest of Friday’s card will likely be determined tomorrow, when TNA presents a live episode of Impact! Thursday’s episode of TV will feature appearances from Elijah, Kelani Jordan, and The System, as well as a singles bout between Indi Hartwell and Dani Luna.
