A rematch for the NXT Championship has been added to Deadline.
After returning last week, Oba Femi confronted Ricky Saints during Tuesday’s first week of Gold Rush and issued a challenge to the current champion, which Saints accepted.
Saints won the NXT Championship on September 27 at No Mercy when he ended the 263-day title reign of Femi. The former champion disappeared from NXT programming for over a month before showing up at the conclusion of the Last Man Standing match between Saints and Trick Williams.
The segment ended with Williams interrupting the two and stating his issue with Saints won’t end until he wins the title back. Myles Borne ran out and attacked Williams from behind with a chair. Borne added that he would win the Iron Survivor match at Deadline and challenge the NXT champion at New Year’s Evil in January.
Ava announced that Borne will face Williams next week in the second week of Gold Rush.
Deadline takes place at the Boeing Center in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, December 6.
