#1 Spot in the Casino Gauntlet

AEW Dynamite/Collision kicked off with Bobby Lashley taking on Ricochet, with the winner earning the #1 spot in the National Championship Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear this Saturday. As the bell rang, Ricochet grabbed a mic and prodded the crowd about the Patriots, then wondered why Ariel Helwani didn’t ask Tony Khan how old MVP was getting. Ricochet pointed out that MVP called it the International title, and he clearly has lost it. This was very strange and lasted over three minutes until Lashley finally grabbed him and chokeslammed him onto the GOA on the outside.

Lashley then hit a big chokeslam and followed that up with the spear for the clean victory. The actual match time was about 2:20 after the Ricochet promo.

Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata cut a backstage promo where Joe revealed that if he interferes in Shibata’s match tonight, he loses his title shot at Full Gear. Shibata finished off the promo, saying something in Japanese that was not subtitled.

Backstage, the Young Bucks were watching old clips of them at previous Full Gears when Don Callis approached, telling them he wants their answer right after their match. Callis then performed the Bucks’ intro to the ring, calling their hometown “Rancho Cuck-amonga”.

Young Bucks & Alexander vs. Sky Flight

Next up was the Young Bucks teaming with Don Callis Family’s Josh Alexander to take on Scorpio Sky and Top Flight. The two teams went back and forth, and after a commercial break, Alexander and Matt Jackson had a disagreement that nearly came to blows. The Bucks and Alexander then caught Dante Martin coming off the top rope and turned it into a TK Driver when Alexander shoved Matt out of the way to apply the Ankle Lock for the submission victory.

Other members of the Don Callis Family entered the ring after the match, and Don Callis asked the Bucks to announce they were joining the Family officially. Matt & Nick hesitated, and Callis said he would hate to see anything happen to them like what happened to Kenny Omega. That brought out Omega with a steel chair, who took out the Family one by one. Alexander then got the Ankle Lock on Omega as the Bucks looked conflicted about what to do. Callis then instructed the Bucks to hit the BTE Trigger on Kenny. The Bucks seemed like they were about to do it when Jungle Express ran down with a vacuum cleaner and a giant shovel to chase off the Family.

Backstage, the Babes of Wrath were interviewed about their match against the Sisters of Sin, and they said they were going to be the first-ever Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Tony Schiavone and Excalibur memorialized wrestling announcer Bob Caudle with Schiavone saying that if there’s ever a Hall of Fame for wrestling announcers, he should be the first person inducted.

#2 Spot in the Casino Gauntlet

Next up was Shelton Benjamin taking on Speedball Mike Bailey for the #2 spot in the Casino Guantlet at Full Gear. Before the match, the two competitors shook hands as the action began. It was announced that the 2025 Continental Classic will begin one week from tonight at Thanksgiving Eve Dynamite.

Benjamin and Bailey went back and forth, with both men scoring several near falls, when suddenly Bailey didn’t kick out of a superkick. MVP even got in the ring, but no bell rang. Benjamin then hit a German Suplex and another superkick for the win.

Death Riders vs. Strong & Cassidy

The next match saw Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong taking on the Death Riders’ Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. The announcers noted that Moxley was on an “unprecedented losing streak” coming into this match. All four men fought into the crowd early in the match, with none of them showing any battle scars from Blood & Guts a mere seven days prior. The finish saw Wheeler Yuta get into the ring to cause a distraction, allowing Mox to apply the Bulldog Choke on Cassidy for the win. After the match, the Death Riders started beating down the faces when Kyle O’Reilly made the save, applying the Ankle Lock to Mox, who immediately tapped. This led O’Reilly to challenge Moxley to a No Holds Barred Match at Full Gear.

Backstage, Brodido cut a promo on FTR ahead of their Tag Team Championship match this Saturday. Also backstage, Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express said that things were personal after what happened to Kota Ibushi and Michael Nakazawa.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Quarterfinal

Next was Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa (the Timeless Love Bombs – complete with their own custom team theme), taking on Alex Windsor and Riho. The winners would face the winners of TayJay vs. Shafir & Bayne, occurring later tonight.

The finish saw Storm and Shirakawa hitting dueling hip attacks, followed by the Storm Zero on Alex Windsor for the pinfall victory. It was then revealed that the four final teams in the tournament will face off at Full Gear, with the winner of that match choosing the stipulation for their semifinal match.

Mark Briscoe and Kyle Fletcher were interviewed, and Fletcher said he had won three times out of their five matches. Okada and Hechicero then jumped Briscoe, and Don Callis said he would make Briscoe’s kids orphans. Okada said that he was happy to help Fletcher, especially because Takeshita couldn’t.

A pre-produced Pac promo aired with him addressing Darby Allin and how he hasn’t been seen or heard from since being put through the flaming table at Blood & Guts. Pac made it clear that this was a simple one-on-one contest he was challenging Darby to, and that without all his “bells and whistles,” Darby couldn’t compete with a legitimate athlete like him.

Hangman Page vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Next was AEW Men’s Champion Hangman Adam Page taking on The Opps’ Katsuyori Shibata with Samoa Joe on commentary. Hangman jumped Shibata as he made his entrance, leaving Joe apoplectic, unable to get involved for fear of losing his title shot.

Hangman and Shibata battled through the commercial break with Joe and Page staring each other down every three minutes or so as the hour turned over from Dynamite to Collision. Shibata then hit a low blow on Hangman behind the referee’s back, yet Hangman survived the Juji-gatame armbar.

Hangman then hit the Buckshot Lariat for the pinfall victory. After the match, Page got on the microphone and referred to Joe being at the commentary desk, but this time without a poncho. Hangman said that he took out Hobbs and Shibata, so now Samoa Joe was alone. He concluded that Joe knew what Page did the last time he was in a steel cage, and if he needed to, he would do it again.

An FTR backstage promo from earlier in the night was aired, featuring them discussing their accomplishments over the last eleven years since they formed.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Quarterfinal

Next was the second of two Quarterfinal match-ups in the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament, this time featuring Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir taking on TayJay. Both teams went back and forth, but Marina Shafir used Mother’s Milk to get the tap-out victory over TayJay. After the match, the Timeless Love Bombs appeared on the screen and said they would win on Saturday and that Jon Moxley would piss himself with blood when he sees what happens to his women.

A brief Kris Statlander promo package aired, suggesting that Mercedes Moné start focusing on her instead of all her other titles.

The Bang Bang Gang cut a backstage promo ahead of their $200,000 Tailgate Brawl 4-Way on Saturday, and again, Juice Robinson went on about his tax-deferred 401 (k) and saving for the future.

Kazuchika Okada vs. Mascara Dorada

Next up was AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada taking on CMLL Trios Champion Mascara Dorada in a Double Jeopardy match. Long story short – the winner gets a future shot at the other’s title. During the first commercial break, the crowd chanted “Tanahashi” and “Takeshita” at Okada, much to his dismay. Dorada then had three really brutal-looking spills (or he’s just fantastic at selling) as the match continued, and Dorada seemed okay. Okada then hit Takeshita’s Raging Fire, followed by the Rainmaker for the win. After the match, Don Callis said that his Family will challenge Dorada’s Sky Team for the CMLL Trios Championship this Saturday at the Tailgate Brawl.  He revealed his team would be Okada, Hechicero, and Takeshita. Okada was not happy.

Sisters of Sin were interviewed backstage and cut a promo with Thekla that they were going to come up with some sick, twisted shit at Full Gear.

Ring of Honor Women’s Television Championship Unification Match

The main event of the evening was Mercedes Moné taking on Red Velvet. This was the unification match between the Interim and Women’s Television Championships. AEW Women’s Champion Kris Statlander was at commentary for this match, and the Boston crowd was firmly behind their hometown hero as the match began. Things spilled to the outside early, and Moné pushed Velvet into Statlander. Velvet then attempted the Eddie Guerrero spot, using one of the two ROH TV titles to try to get the DQ win.

After a commercial break, Moné applied the Statement Maker, but Velvet was able to escape and apply a Reverse Short Arm Scissors. The match continued until Moné hit an Avalanche Lungblower from the top rope for the pinfall victory. After the match, Moné attacked Statlander, putting her in the Statement Maker and forcing Statlander to tap.
