The GHC Tag Team Championship reign of NXT’s Hank Walker and Tank Ledger came to an abrupt end on Friday.
Walker and Ledger were defeated by Team 2000X (Masa Kitamiya and Takashi Sugiura) at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘Cross Over 2025’ event in Sendai. The loss concludes their short run with the belts, which began less than two weeks ago on November 8 at NOAH Star Navigation.
The finish saw Sugiura pin Ledger to reclaim the titles for his team. This was the NXT duo’s first attempted defense of the championships.
Elsewhere on the show, Hiromu Takahashi won the NOAH Jr. Grand Prix 2025. Takahashi defeated Tadasuke in the semi-final before besting Kai Fujimura in the final match to take the tournament trophy.
Following his victory, Takahashi was challenged by AMAKUSA for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship at the Nippon Budokan on January 1.
The main event saw Yoshiki Inamura retain the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kaito Kiyomiya. After the match, OZAWA appeared to challenge Inamura for the title at the New Year’s Day event, stating he would return to action on that date.
The challenges issued in Sendai have cemented the top of the card for NOAH’s annual New Year’s Day event.
Yoshiki Inamura is confirmed to defend the GHC Heavyweight Championship against the returning OZAWA on January 1 at the Nippon Budokan.
In the junior heavyweight division, AMAKUSA will defend the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship against Hiromu Takahashi.
