New Japan Pro Wrestling has confirmed two new additions to the Wrestle Kingdom 20 card, including a stipulation match for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships.

The announcement follows the opening night of World Tag League on November 20 at Korakuen Hall, where champion YOH staged a sit-in protest demanding a spot on the January 4 event at the Tokyo Dome.

NJPW Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi granted the request, establishing the first-ever “Tornado Ranbo” for the titles.

The match will feature the defending champions Toru Yano, YOH, and Master Wato facing an undisclosed number of teams. Entrants will join the match at one-minute intervals under tornado rules, meaning no tags are required. Elimination occurs when any member of a team is pinned, submitted, or thrown over the top rope, which eliminates the entire trio.

The stipulation marks the tenth anniversary of the championship, which was introduced at Wrestle Kingdom 10 in 2016.

Additionally, NJPW announced that DDT Pro-Wrestling’s Kaisei Takechi will compete at the event.

Takechi, a member of the pop group The Rampage from Exile Tribe, debuted for DDT in February 2024. He captured the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Championship in September 2025 alongside Yuki Ueno and To-y.

Takechi recently appeared at the ‘Purge Night of Torture’ event at Korakuen Hall. His opponent for the Tokyo Dome show has not been named.
