Sheamus has been removed from The Last Time is Now Tournament.

WWE issued a statement that, due to a shoulder injury, Sheamus cannot continue in the tournament.

Additional information will be shared on SmackDown tonight.

Sheamus beat Shinsuke Nakamura on the November 10 episode of Raw in a first-round match and was scheduled to compete in a yet-to-be-announced quarter-final match. He wrestled in a six-man tag this past Monday with John Cena & Rey Mysterio against The Judgment Day on Raw at Madison Square Garden.

The first round of the tournament to determine who faces John Cena in his retirement match wraps up tonight with Penta vs. Finn Balor and Bronson Reed vs. Carmelo Hayes.

Rusev, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, and Gunther have already qualified for the quarter-finals.
