Ethan Page believes rival Je’Von Evans has the highest ceiling out of everyone on the NXT roster.
After sharing the ring with Evans a dozen times this year, including singles matchups at Vengeance Day and Roadblock, Page has high praise for 21-year-old Evans, who has been making waves in WWE’s developmental system.
Page said during a recent interview with the Getting Over Wrestling Podcast that Evans has a high ceiling, attributing his authenticity as a big reason behind why he has seen such early career success.
“He’s just himself,” Page said. “I think that’s one thing that took me so long to figure out, is essentially, just be as genuine as possible. As much as I hate the kid, he is who he is, no one is gonna change him, and when he performs, that’s as genuine as Je’Von as you’re going to get. Yeah, he has an unlimited ceiling, and I hope WWE has signed him to a 15-year contract. So I’m very excited to see what he does here.”
Page went on to mention that their Vengeance Day match back in February is one of his favorite performances of all time.
While both still in NXT, Page and Evans haven’t crossed paths recently. Page is currently on a run with the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships alongside Chelsea Green, while Evans was recently locked into a feud with NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState.
