Ric Flair claims “street drugs” caused Hulk Hogan’s death

Ric Flair spoke about his suspicions about what led to Terry Bollea a.k.a. Hulk Hogan’s death in July.

Flair was interviewed on the Double Coverage podcast and shared his thoughts on what caused Bollea’s death.

I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs.

When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe him anymore, he was in so much pain. He had that neck surgery that got infected, so back in the hospital. Imagine ten back surgeries, two knees, two hips, and then when the doctor wouldn’t prescribe him any more pain medicine, he just couldn’t do it in good conscience. So, they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, You know what, I can’t do it anymore.

Sad. What a great guy.

Bollea died on July 24 at age 71. TMZ reported that police were conducting an investigation into his death, and Bollea’s widow, Sky Daily, had a private autopsy performed.

Flair alluded to the criticism Bollea received after his death and mentioned that more information is going to become public in the next month.

These guys just, I don’t want to mention names, just renamed him. This is all going to come out in the media in the next thirty days; you’ll read about it anyway. I just don’t feel free to talk about it.

Bollea’s official cause of death was listed as a result of an “acute myocardial infarction”, or a heart attack, as listed by the medical examiner’s office in Pinellas County. It also lists Bollea having a history of atrial fibrillation and CLL (Chronic lymphocytic leukemia).
