A report on Monday states that former UFC champion Ronda Rousey is in negotiations for a major boxing fight.

Lance Pugmire of Boxing Scene reports that the Olympic bronze medalist is in negotiations for a fight against Katie Taylor in 2026.

Taylor shot to worldwide stardom after her fights with Amanda Serrano, with two of their fights streaming on Netflix.

Rousey retired from MMA after her December 2016 loss to Amanda Nunes and launched a pro wrestling career, signing with WWE in 2018 and wrapping up with WWE after SummerSlam in August 2023. She has never boxed professionally.

Taylor, 39, won a gold medal in boxing at the Olympics in 2012, and launched her pro career four years later.

Taylor became the undisputed light welterweight champion and became a mega star in Europe. Her only loss occurred in May 2023, dropping a majority decision to Chantelle Cameron, which she avenged later that year. She fought Serrano three times, including twice at Madison Square Garden, and underneath the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson exhibition at AT&T Stadium last year.

Taylor vacated her belts in September.

Pugmire reports that the fight is being targeted for next summer in Las Vegas and “has drawn the interest of Netflix.”
