Queen Aminata not cleared to wrestle, removed from Pure Title Tournament

Queen Aminata is not cleared to compete and is out of the ROH Women’s Pure Title Tournament.

Tony Khan confirmed Aminata’s removal from the tournament on Thursday’s ROH Final Battle media call. The match would have needed to be taped on Wednesday at the latest, in advance of the tournament final on Friday at Final Battle.

Khan explained that Aminata will forfeit her match with Deonna Purrazzo, who will advance to the final and face either Billie Starkz or Yuka Sakazaki (their semi-final match airs on Honor Club tonight).

Aminata sustained an injury in October and has not wrestled since October 29. It caused her to be pulled from the Blood & Guts match on November 12.

Last month, Aminata shared an update that she was dealing with tightness in her neck and could not turn her head.
