Continental Classic: Orange Cassidy vs. Roderick Strong

Orange Cassidy defeated Roderick Strong to earn his first points in the Blue League. Strong controlled much of the match by targeting Cassidy’s back with a series of backbreakers and a torture rack.

The match operated under “Conglomeration Rules,” which theoretically prohibited chops, though Strong ignored this stipulation throughout the encounter. Cassidy eventually rallied and countered the “End of Heartache” into a cradle pin for the victory.

Darby Allin removed from tournament

Tony Schiavone announced that Darby Allin has been removed from the Continental Classic due to injuries sustained in his previous match against Kevin Knight. Jack Perry will replace Allin in the tournament.

In a prerecorded interview, Allin expressed frustration regarding his withdrawal. He offered his support to Perry, hoping his replacement would win the entire tournament.

FTR confronts the Bang Bang Gang

FTR and Stokely Hathaway addressed the audience regarding a recent physical altercation with the Bang Bang Gang. Dax Harwood insulted Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn, referring to them as “Mr. Toni Storm” and “Billy’s Boy,” respectively.

Cash Wheeler stated that Robinson and Gunn would not defeat them again and dared them to touch the tag team titles. Robinson retorted that the group would claim the championships when AEW travels to the United Kingdom.

Continental Classic: Mascara Dorada vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Mascara Dorada scored a significant upset over the previously undefeated Claudio Castagnoli. Castagnoli dominated the early portion of the match, utilizing his strength advantage to overwhelm the luchador.

Dorada mounted a comeback with a hurricanrana from the top rope. He secured the pinfall victory after executing a Shooting Star Press, moving to three points in the Blue League.

Women’s tag team finalists interview

Tony Schiavone moderated a sit-down interview with the finalists for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship tournament. Tensions escalated when Harley Cameron claimed she and Willow Nightingale were “babes with wrath” ready to rewrite history.

Mina Shirakawa interrupted the argument to refocus the group on the upcoming title match. She offered a champagne toast to their opponents to conclude the segment.

Swerve Strickland returns

Swerve Strickland appeared live to declare his intention to challenge Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. He addressed Hangman Page, stating he would support him for “one night only” at Winter is Coming before they had a “serious conversation”.

Josh Alexander interrupted, claiming the Don Callis Family now “owns” AEW. Katsuyori Shibata attacked Strickland from behind after Strickland challenged Alexander to a future match.

TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné vs. Leila Grey

Mercedes Moné retained the TBS Championship via submission against Leila Grey. Moné controlled the match early, though Grey managed a near-fall following a bulldog.

The champion forced a tap-out using the Statement Maker. Moné attacked Christopher Daniels with a low blow after the bell and declared herself the greatest champion of all time at the commentary desk.

AEW National Championship: Ricochet vs. Ace Austin

Ricochet defended the AEW National Championship against Ace Austin in a match featuring interference from the Gates of Agony. The champion attempted to use a bell hammer as a weapon during the contest.

Austin countered a low blow attempt but eventually fell to Ricochet’s finisher.

FTR attacked Austin after the match, prompting a save from the Bang Bang Gang.

Continental Classic: Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita defeated Jon Moxley in the main event to advance to six points in the Blue League. Takeshita focused his offense on Moxley’s knee, utilizing dragon screws and the steel steps to inflict damage.

The commentary table partially collapsed when Takeshita delivered a Blue Thunder Bomb to Moxley on the floor. Takeshita secured the pinfall victory after hitting a second power drive knee and the Raging Fire driver.

The Death Riders entered the ring to stare down Takeshita as the show concluded.
