Moka Miyamoto, a Joshi talent who has become a mainstay in TJPW over the past five years, has decided to end her run as a professional wrestler.

The promotion confirmed on Wednesday that 26-year-old Miyamoto has declared her retirement and plans to pursue another path in life.

Miyamoto hasn’t been seen in the ring since July, when she had to step away from wrestling due to an undisclosed illness. This setback also put an end to her first-ever title reign, earning TJPW’s second-biggest belt, the International Princess Championship, against Suzume at Summer Sun Princess earlier this year.

The Kanagawa-born wrestler made her in-ring debut back in 2020 as part of a Korakuen Hall TJPW card. She quickly became a frequent fixture in the promotion’s programming, racking up over 300 appearances for them in recent years.

Miyamoto made a few international appearances as part of TJPW’s working partnerships with American promotions DEFY, Prestige, and MLW. She was also among the number of TJPW wrestlers who made the trip to Texas for a trio of shows during the week of AEW All In: Texas earlier this year.

Miyamoto has requested not to have a retirement ceremony, per TJPW.
