Joe Hendry made a surprise appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C., confronting The Miz.
The interaction interrupted a hosting segment involving Stephanie McMahon and Joe Tessitore.
The Miz entered the ring to complain about his exclusion from the event’s festivities, citing his victory over John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27.
R-Truth interrupted the grievance, informing The Miz that he had taken the opportunity meant for another wrestler in the “Last Time Is Now” tournament. Truth revealed that the spot belonged to Joe Hendry.
Hendry, who officially signed with WWE in November following a reign as TNA World Champion, appeared to a big ovation. After blocking a punch from The Miz, Hendry executed a fallaway slam.
Hendry and Truth delivered a simultaneous Five Knuckle Shuffle before Hendry planted The Miz with a Standing Ovation. The segment concluded with Truth counting a mock pinfall.
