Tomohiro Ishii will return to in-ring action at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026.

New Japan Pro Wrestling confirmed that Ishii will join Taichi and Satoshi Kojima in the Tornado Ranbo match on the Tokyo Dome card. The trio will compete for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships.

The team was formed following a backstage interaction between Taichi and Kojima at the Road to Tokyo Dome event on Friday. Taichi noted that he had been in contact with Ishii regarding the upcoming show.

Taichi: There is a NEVER 6-Man Tag at the Tokyo Dome on January 4, isn’t there? Tomo-san is returning there. I got a call from Tomo-san saying let’s do it together again. Me, Tomo, and Ishii are back. We are just missing one person.

Kojima: I’m right here, asshole!

Ishii has been out of action since October after sustaining a dislocated right shoulder during an AEW Collision match with PAC.
