Rich Fann and WH Park dive into retro Marvel films with the not-so-classic Captain America from 1990, directed by Albert Pyun.
Notable B-movie director Pyun’s penchant for making small budgets work didn’t help much here. WH and Rich discuss the problem with Matt Salinger’s take on Steve Rogers, Dick Jones as the US President, and Red Skull as a musician gone wrong? They look at the directions this movie takes, why those choices fall flat, and what paths might have made for a better film.
They also discuss Marvel’s own missteps in this movie’s failure and why WH says this is #NotMySteveRogers and #NotMyCaptainAmerica.
