Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron retained their AEW Women’s Tag Titles after capitalizing on miscommunication between Mercedes Moné and Athena at Worlds End.

The champions secured the victory when Nightingale countered a Moné Maker attempt into a roll-up pin on the TBS Champion.

Leading up to the finish, the challengers suffered repeated collisions, including Athena accidentally landing on her partner while attempting to break a pin. The tension between the two singles champions was evident throughout the contest, which began with Moné delivering a cheap shot to Cameron before the bell.

Nightingale anchored the champions’ offense, executing a powerbomb on Moné onto the ring apron early in the match.

Later, she escaped Moné’s Statement Maker submission by powering up into a Death Valley Driver, shifting the momentum back to the Babes of Wrath.

The challengers nearly secured victory with a superplex and powerbomb combination, but Cameron intervened to break the count.

Athena also connected with an O-Face cutter on Cameron during a chaotic sequence. Following the loss, Athena was seen scolding Moné at ringside as the “Ultimo Moné” collapse continued.
