Jon Moxley captured the AEW Continental Championship by defeating Kazuchika Okada in the final of the Continental Classic tournament.

The victory at Worlds End concludes the round-robin competition and ends Okada’s reign as the Unified Continental Champion.

Okada targeted Moxley’s injured leg throughout the main event, utilizing dragon screws and a Texas Cloverleaf submission to wear down his opponent.

The former champion frequently taunted the crowd and Moxley, at one point flipping them off before Moxley countered with a lariat.

The match dissolved into chaos when Okada utilized the referee as a shield to deliver a low blow and a Rainmaker, though Moxley survived the pin attempt.

When Okada attempted to bring the title belt into the ring, referee Stephon Smith intervened, allowing Moxley to strike Okada with a retaliatory low blow while the official was distracted.

Moxley secured the win after executing a sequence that included Okada’s own Rainmaker, a Paradigm Shift, a Curb Stomp, and finally the Death Rider.

Following the match, the Death Riders faction entered the ring to celebrate with the new champion. In a post-match interview with Tony Schiavone, Moxley dedicated the victory to the fans and the AEW roster, describing them as the “hardest working professional athletes in the world.”

Tony Schiavone noted a change in Moxley’s tone from a year ago, but for now at least, the Death Riders stuck with him.
