Jon Moxley overcame a targeted assault on his injured leg to defeat Kyle Fletcher by submission. The victory at AEW Worlds End advances Moxley to the tournament final against Kazuchika Okada.

Moxley entered the match as a rare fan favorite, a stark contrast to the reception he received for much of the past year.

Fletcher immediately targeted Moxley’s recent history of submission losses and injury troubles, trapping Moxley’s leg between the ring post and steel steps before dropkicking the steel to exacerbate the damage.

The match featured several near-falls and dramatic shifts in momentum. Fletcher executed a brainbuster on the ring apron and a Liger Bomb inside the ring for a close two-count. He locked in a single-leg Boston Crab and later transitioned to an ankle lock with a grapevine, forcing Moxley to claw to the ropes for a break.

Moxley rallied with an avalanche cutthroat suplex that dropped Fletcher on his head, followed by a Curb Stomp.

Fletcher, growing desperate, attempted to retrieve the screwdriver hidden in the turnbuckle, seemingly unaware that Kazuchika Okada had already removed it during the previous match.

This distraction allowed Moxley to capitalize. After Fletcher kicked out of a Paradigm Shift and a Death Rider, Moxley locked in a rear-naked choke. Fletcher refused to tap but eventually passed out, forcing the referee to call for the bell.

Following the match, an enraged Fletcher attacked Moxley with a chop block to the injured leg before exiting. Moxley, limping, will face Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic final later in the show to determine the tournament winner and AEW Continental Champion.
