It looks like Dominik Mysterio’s injury isn’t as severe as some worried it might be.

WWE’s Mysterio suffered an injury last weekend while working a match at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes event in Guadalajara, Mexico, wrestling alongside El Grande Americano against Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix. Mysterio seemingly favored his arm following a DDT at one point during the bout.

On Monday Night’s episode of Raw, WWE announced that the injury had put Mysterio “out indefinitely.”

Concern about the severity of the injury was somewhat calmed on Tuesday, as both Fightful Select and F4WOnline reported that Mysterio won’t require surgery to heal. He’s expected to be ready for an in-ring return in a month’s time, lining him up for a potential comeback at the Royal Rumble.

A surgery would’ve significantly delayed his return.

Mysterio currently holds double-champ status, carrying WWE’s Intercontinental Championship as well as the AAA Mega Championship. Nothing has been mentioned regarding whether either title reign will come to an end due to his time away from the ring.
