Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has fueled speculation regarding an imminent return by Chris Jericho to WWE.
Promoting the show in a video released Sunday, Pearce used a phrase synonymous with the 55-year-old. While hyping the three championship matches scheduled for the broadcast, Pearce asked, “Who can break down the walls and claim the gold?”
The tease coincides with widespread reports that Jericho’s contract with All Elite Wrestling expired on January 1.
The January 5 episode from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn marks the one-year anniversary of Raw airing on Netflix. The show will feature a promotional crossover with the series Stranger Things, which recently concluded its run on the streaming service.
Additionally, the General Manager announced that Liv Morgan will return to singles competition for the first time in six months. She is scheduled to face Lyra Valkyria on the show.
The current lineup for Monday’s episode in Brooklyn includes:
- World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Bron Breakker
- Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Maxxine Dupri (c) vs. Becky Lynch
- Women’s Tag Team Championships: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY
- Liv Morgan vs. Lyra Valkyria
