Three names have reportedly left the AEW roster.
Matt Taven, Mercedes Martinez and Alex Abrahantes are no longer with the promotion, per Fightful Select, as their contracts have expired.
AEW’s official roster page no longer lists the three talents. This is a recent change to the page, as an archived version of the site from November 2024 shows all three still on the roster.
Former ROH World Champion Taven has wrestled on AEW since October 2022, when he reunited with Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis of The Kingdom. He held the ROH World Tag Team Championships alongside Bennett for 234 days from 2023 to 2024, eventually dropping the titles to Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara on an episode of Collision.
Martinez signed with AEW back in 2021, returning to the promotion after a pair of appearances under their banner in 2019. Her time with the company included a 2022 run with the ROH Women’s World Championship, a title shot dropped to Athena at that year’s Final Battle card.
She didn’t make any AEW or ROH appearances in 2025, mainly working on the U.S. independent scene. In a New Year’s Day social media post, Martinez said that 2026 is her last year working “as a full-time ACTIVE professional wrestler.”
Abrahantes joined AEW back in 2019 to serve in an on-screen role, including as part of the promotion’s Spanish broadcast. He served as the manager for numerous wrestlers, including Penta, Rey Fenix, and Komander.
