Netflix and WWE have confirmed a deal that will bring the library of premium live events to users in the U.S.
The Hollywood Reporter has a story covering an expanded deal between the entities with the addition of WWE’s premium live events for Netflix users in the U.S. Migration of the events from its previous home of Peacock had already begun, with events populating on Netflix last Thursday.
No financial terms were reported, but it’s listed as a multi-year deal and will include other documentaries and original programming.
WWE will remain in partnership with Peacock, which continues to hold the exclusive rights to Saturday Night’s Main Event. The NXT premium live events remain on Peacock through March.
Netflix will hold the U.S. rights to all WWE premium live events before September 2025, while ESPN holds the rights to all shows beginning with Wrestlepalooza this past year. Netflix already has the international rights for past PLEs in many territories.
Thus far, Netflix has only added WWE-branded events and not any outside libraries such as WCW, ECW, etc.
