Weekend TV Guide: ‘Three Stages of Hell’ in Berlin, Briscoe vs. Hechicero for TNT gold, a busy weekend at Korakuen & more!

Welcome to POST Wrestling’s Weekend TV Guide! It’s a little quieter than usual in the world of wrestling this weekend, so this will be a shorter post than the typical Friday-morning update. However, there’s still a decent list of options this weekend: A high-stakes title fight on Smackdown, a TNT title on the line in Texas, GHC gold up for grabs as part of a busy three days for Korakuen Hall, and more!

Friday

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network

The TV portion of WWE’s European tour this winter will kick off today with an episode of Friday Night Smackdown from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Germany is getting a high-stakes main event this weekend, as they will play host to a title matchup that has been built up on the program for weeks. Facing off in what is likely their final showdown over the course of a multi-month rivalry, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will battle it out in a “Three Stages of Hell” bout.

A Three Stages of Hell match sees two wrestlers compete in a best-of-three contest, with the match stipulation changing for each fall. McIntyre revealed last week that the three rulesets they will use this weekend will be: 1) A normal match 2) A falls count anywhere match, then, if needed for a tiebreaker, 3) A steel cage match.

McIntyre has come up short twice against Rhodes since September. Will the third time be the charm when they meet today in Germany? We’re just hours away from finding out.

Earlier in the night, Trick Williams will make his official in-ring debut on Smackdown, taking on Rey Fenix. Also, eight-man tag action will go down when the Wyatt Sicks and MFTs duke it out.

Important note: While this show will air on tape delay for U.S. viewers at 8 p.m. ET, the event will actually air LIVE at 2 p.m. ET in markets where Netflix carries Smackdown.

  • Rey Fenix vs. Trick Williams
  • Wyatt Sicks vs. MFTs
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre (Three Stages of Hell Match) (Undisputed WWE Championship)

TJPW New-Year Party 2026 / 8:45 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

If you want to watch something else on Friday night (or are in a market where Smackdown won’t be airing live in the evening), Joshi promotion TJPW will be live this Friday night with a show to consider as well.

While there aren’t any major title matchups going down at Shinjuku FACE this evening in Tokyo, the promotion will find the next contender for its top title through a six-way eliminator match this evening. Will wrestlers like Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima or Mizuki earn a chance at becoming a repeat champ? Or will a new name, like Yuki Arai or MAX The Impaler get an opportunity at the title?

  • Miyu Yamashita vs. Shoko Nakajima vs. Mizuki vs. Rika Tatsumi vs. Yuki Arai vs. MAX The Impaler (Princess of Princess #1 Contenders Match) (Elimination Six-Way)
  • Yuki Kamifuku, Wakana Uehara, Toga & Mifu Ashida vs. Suzume, Arisu Endo, Uta Takami & Ren Konatsu

STARDOM NEW YEAR STARS 2026 in Korakuen Day 1 / 4:30 a.m. ET / STARDOM World

It’ll be a busy weekend for Korakuen Hall, as the prestigious wrestling and combat sports venue is scheduled to present four events over 48 hours. Kicking things off will be STARDOM, who will present back-to-back nights of action in the venue, their first Korakuen shows since Dream Queendom last month.

Tag gold will be on the line in the main event of Saturday’s card, as HATE’s Natsuko Tora and Ruaka will wager their Goddesses of STARDOM belts against AZM and Miyu Amasaki.

The undercard is full of notable talents, including AEW’s Alex Windsor, Bea Priestley, Bozilla, CMLL alum Olympia, Suzu Suzuki, and Maika. Absent from the lineup of course is Saya Kamitani, who revealed earlier this week that she won’t wrestle until February 7.

AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT

For the second week in a row, AEW Collision will be live on Saturday night from the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

After winning a #1 contenders match last weekend over Komander, lucha fan-favorite Hechicero will take on TNT Champion Mark Briscoe as part of this weekend’s card. He’ll be trying to bring the belt back to the Don Callis Family in a match I believe could be a highlight of these next three days.

Also, teaming up for the first time since they made amends late last month, Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander will be in six-woman tag action, working alongside Nightingale tag partner Harley Cameron.

  • Komander vs. El Clon
  • Kris Statlander & Babes of Wrath in action
  • Mark Briscoe vs. Hechicero (TNT Championship)

STARDOM NEW YEAR STARS 2026 in Korakuen Day 2 / 9:30 p.m. ET / STARDOM World

STARDOM’s second night in Korakuen Hall will feature a pair of title matchups, including their CMLL co-promoted belt and the brand’s six-woman titles. I’m personally also looking forward to a tag match earlier in the lineup, when past ROH rivals Alex Windsor and Sareee will team up to face Ranna Yagami and Syuri, who is coming off her high-profile Wrestle Kingdom win.

  • Maika, HANAKO, Xena, Waka Tsukiyana & Rian vs. Suzu Suzuki, Bozilla, Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki & Akira Kurogane

Sunday

NOAH LEGACY RISE 2026 / 4 a.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

In their first major card since the January 1st “The New Year” lineup in Nippon Budokan, Pro Wrestling NOAH will come back this weekend with “LEGACY RISE” from Korakuen Hall.

The card will see two major title matchups stemming from the promotion’s New Year’s Day card last week. In the main event, GHC Heavyweight Champion Yoshiki Inamura will meet Masa Kitamiya in a title bout.

Although Inamura initially elected Kenoh to be his next opponent for the title, plans changed after Kitamiya attacked the would-be contender that same night. The Team 2000X member and nine-time tag champ will try to capture his first-ever singles belt when he takes on Inamura, who is defending his title for the third time.

The co-main event will see newly-crowned GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion AMAKUSA defend his title for the first time against 24-year-old up-and-comer Daiki Odashima. The rising NOAH talent called AMAKUSA out for a title matchup on January 1 shortly after he dethroned Hiromu Takahashi to begin his third reign with the junior title.

The card will also feature a goodbye match for Ulka Sasaki, who is heading over to the U.S. for an excursion after he faces KENTA this weekend.

  • Shuhei Taniguchi, Atsushi Kotoge, Hajime Ohara & Hi69 vs. Katsumi Inahata, Hayato Koyanagi, Hiroto Tsuruya & Aoi Takahashi
  • Naomichi Marufuji, Kenoh, Manabu Soya, Muhammad Yone & Eita vs. Jack Morris, Galeno, Will Kroos, Daga & Dragon Bane

  • OZAWA vs. Tetsuya Endo
  • AMAKUSA vs. Daiki Odashima (GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship)
  • Yoshiki Inamura vs. Masa Kitamiya (GHC Heavyweight Championship)

MARIGOLD New Year Golden Garden / 9 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

MARIGOLD will close out the weekend on Sunday night with a card at, you guessed it, Korakuen Hall.

While not a major lineup from the Joshi promotion, the card will feature a stacked main event involving all of the company’s current singles champs. In a matchup set up earlier this month at Ryogoku Sumo Hall, Utami Hayashishita will team with MARIGOLD World Champion Miku Aono to face MARIGOLD United National Champion Victoria Yuzuki and MARIGOLD Superfly Champion Mayu Iwatani.
