NXT General Manager Ava will address the status of the NXT Championship on Tuesday.
WWE confirmed on Saturday that the General Manager will speak on the January 13 broadcast on The CW. The announcement follows the events of New Year’s Evil, where the championship was vacated.
Oba Femi successfully defended the title against Leon Slater in the main event of last week’s show. Following the victory, Femi placed the championship belt in the center of the ring and walked away.
WWE subsequently confirmed that the title is officially vacant. Femi’s reign ended immediately after the match.
The lineup for Tuesday’s show also features championship action from a crossover with TNA Wrestling. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo is set to defend the TNA International Championship against Shiloh Hill.
Elsewhere on the card, Joe Hendry will face Dion Lennox in a No Disqualification match.
