NJPW’s Road to the New Beginning tour will continue without Shingo Takagi.

The 43-year-old former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion has been sidelined due to a “left ribcage and torso injury,” per a statement from NJPW on Wednesday. The promotion says he sustained the injury at the company’s Korakuen Hall doubleheader earlier this week.

Takagi will remain out of action until NJPW’s February 11 New Beginning in Osaka card, where he’ll team with Drilla Moloney to face Great-O-Khan and HENARE.

NJPW has nine shows until then, including the remainder of their current “Road To” tour leading up to the Osaka card.
