Claudio Castagnoli successfully defended the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship against Roderick Strong on Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision.
The show aired on tape delay from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida, following a scheduling change caused by severe weather in Texas. The episode was originally scheduled as part of AEW’s residency at the Esports Arena in Arlington, Texas.
The broadcast also featured a first-time singles meeting between Hangman Page and Katsuyori Shibata.

Hangman Page vs. Katsuyori Shibata
The show opened with Katsuyori Shibata making his entrance to face Hangman Page. The two immediately began brawling at ringside, where Page drove Shibata’s head into the commentary table. Shibata recovered to evade a running boot, causing Page to crash into the timekeeper’s area.
Back inside the ring, Shibata targeted Page’s legs, utilizing a figure-four leglock. The action escalated with an exchange of German suplexes and strikes that left both men down. A moment of controversy occurred when Shibata delivered a kick in the corner that appeared to strike the turnbuckle, though the referee admonished him for a low blow.
Later in the match, Shibata attempted a vertical suplex on the apron, but Page blocked the move and countered with a Dead Eye on the ring edge.

Page followed up with a moonsault to the floor. Shibata attempted to lock in a choke, but Page reached the ropes. After Shibata missed a dropkick in the corner, Page connected with a lariat followed by the Buckshot Lariat to secure the pinfall.
Don Callis Family & Ricochet
In a segment filmed on a golf course, Don Callis was shown speaking with Ricochet, Mark Davis, and Jake Doyle. Ricochet expressed his expectation that the Don Callis Family would receive an AEW World Tag Team Championship match after defeating FTR. Callis advised Ricochet not to “play the 19th hole before the 18th.”
Earlier this week, as part of their usual routine, @TheDonCallis and @KingRicochet hit the golf course and talked through the competitive landscape ahead!

Kris Statlander vs. Isla Dawn
AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander faced Isla Dawn in a Championship Eliminator match. Dawn gained an early advantage with a knee strike and a PK from the apron. Statlander responded by slingshotting Dawn into the corner. The champion secured the victory after hitting a dropkick from the top rope followed by the Saturday Night Fever.
Following the match, a video aired featuring Thekla wearing a Statlander t-shirt. Thekla stated that she was a “big fan” before spitting on the shirt and discarding it. She closed the promo by saying “Live long and prosper” and flipping the middle finger toward the camera.

Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Austin & Billy Gunn
It was announced that Ace Austin was unable to compete due to travel issues, leading Billy Gunn to step in as Austin Gunn’s partner. The duo faced “Protoshita”, the team of Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita.
Fletcher and Austin Gunn began the match, but Fletcher soon demanded Billy Gunn enter the ring. Billy utilized his size advantage early, prompting Don Callis to confront him at ringside. Takeshita attacked Billy from behind to turn the tide. The Gunns later attempted the 3:10 to Yuma, but Takeshita broke up the play.
The finish saw Takeshita avoid a charge from Austin Gunn, allowing Fletcher to hit a thrust kick. Takeshita followed with the Raging Fire (Powerdrive Knee) on Austin to win the match. Afterward, Kazuchika Okada appeared on the stage, staring down Takeshita while Callis held his client back.

Mark Davis & Jake Doyle vs. Jordan Oliver & Alec Price
Mark Davis and Jake Doyle dominated their match against Jordan Oliver and Alec Price. The Don Callis Family members utilized their power, launching their opponents into one another during the contest. Davis and Doyle secured the win after hitting a piledriver and a spinning slam respectively.
Don Callis entered the ring post-match, claiming he had a vision of retiring FTR and taking their titles. Stokely Hathaway appeared on the video screen with FTR, calling Callis a liar and stating that Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler would remain champions after Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Willow Nightingale vs. Julia Hart
Willow Nightingale defended her TBS Championship against Julia Hart. The match saw early interference from Skye Blue, which prompted Harley Cameron to run down and brawl with Blue to the backstage area.
Hart took control during the distraction, hitting a neckbreaker and utilizing a tarantula hold in the ropes. She executed a rope-walk on the guardrail, but Nightingale countered by suplexing Hart onto the floor. Back in the ring, Hart attempted a moonsault which Nightingale blocked with her knees. Nightingale hit the Babe with the Powerbomb to retain her title.

Andrade El Idolo vs. Magnus
Andrade El Idolo defeated CMLL competitor Magnus in a singles match. Andrade displayed arrogance throughout the contest, at one point taking a fan’s phone to take a selfie during the action.
Magnus rallied with a series of dropkicks and a suicide dive. However, Andrade regained control by tripping Magnus into the turnbuckle and delivering running knees. Andrade hit The DM to secure the pinfall.
Later, backstage, Andrade declared his intention to pursue the AEW World Championship and issued a challenge to Swerve Strickland for Dynamite.

- Jack Perry: Perry was shown backstage holding a knife. He spoke about Ricochet “taking out” his friend Luchasaurus, stating that he intends to take Ricochet’s National Championship in return. He ended the segment by stabbing the knife into a table.
- Ricochet responds: In a separate backstage segment, Ricochet appeared with the Gates of Agony. He apologized for the injury caused to Luchasaurus, claiming he did not intend to go that far. He told Perry he would need luck when they meet for the title in Las Vegas.

Main Event — CMLL World Heavyweight Championship: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong

Wheeler Yuta attempted to interfere but was neutralized by an Orange Punch from Orange Cassidy. Inside the ring, Strong attempted a running knee, but Castagnoli caught him in a Giant Swing. Castagnoli transitioned into the Neutralizer to win the match and retain his title.
